FCI Offers Complimentary Services In Response to FINRA Warning of Fraudulent Emails

On May 4, 2020 FINRA issued Regulatory Notice 20-12 to FINRA members warning of phishing emails purporting to be from FINRA. Phishing emails may contain a source domain “@broker-finra.org” and request immediate attention to an attachment prompting the user to enter their Microsoft Office or SharePoint password.

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA), which requires a user to confirm identity upon login, is an excellent security measure to ensure authorized access. Without MFA in place, a hacker who’s obtained user login credentials can gain access to a confidential system.

To urgently reduce risk regarding this threat, FCI is offering complimentary services to all FINRA members:

  • Complimentary review of Office 365 Security Settings
    • Validation that audit logs are enabled
    • Validation that MFA is properly installed and configured for all users
  • FCI offers a 30-Day Trial (including implementation and configuration ) of DUO Multi-Factor Authentication Software
